Report about the Alumni Fermilab Event in Chicago

Dear alumni and co-operation partners,

thanks to all having joined our ALUHH Fermilab event on Saturday, 8th of March. All in all we were 32 participants: our University of Hamburg Alumni with partners, vice-consul of the German General Consulate of Chicago, representative of the German American Chamber OF Commerce, the Chicago Hamburg Sister City Committee and the German International School Chicago.  For all those, who missed the Fermilab Event a short report: Our University of Hamburg Alumnus Oliver Gutsche - diploma physicist and doctor of particle physics – gave a speech about particle physics and some insights into his exciting work with the Fermilab, including a visit of the exhibition area on the 15th floor.

The speech can be read here: (link)

After that we had a nice brunch at the Two Brothers good food and beer.

Pictures can be found here.

Dear alumni,

please save the date – every first Thursday of the month – for our regular meeting.

Next date:     Thursday, 3. April 2014 at 17:30 at the Berghoff, 17 W Adam's sp, Chicago

And please register like always in time via Tobi and Manuel in order to get to get enough tables reserved. Food and drinks will be as usual on your account. Since the billing will not be individually but for the whole table, please bring enough change and try to remember what you had. Short note “will be there” or “will not be there” via email to Tobi or Manuel would do.

Many dear thanks again to Oli Gutsche and the Fermi lab for hosting this great ALUHH event!!!
